The Energy Practise
I founded The Energy Practise to share the transformative self-care tools that have deeply impacted my own life. As both a Yoga and Qigong teacher, I’ve seen first hand how these modalities can lower stress, build resilience, and dramatically enhance overall well-being.
The ancient preventative health benefits of Qigong have helped build up my natural reserves of energy to give me the inner strength to carry on when I needed to dig really deep.
It has empowered me to cope whilst navigating bereavements, family illness, my menopause journey and the day to day stresses that life can throw at us.
I specialise in teaching Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) to reduce stress. It is one of the Five Pillars of Healing in Chinese Medicine, offering a holistic approach to health.
At its core, Qigong is all about harnessing your "Qi" (energy) the life force flowing through you—and helping it move smoothly and freely. Think of it as a
moving meditation where you combine slow, flowing movements, deep breathing, and focused attention to create harmony within your body and mind.
Qigong is an extremely powerful practice for stress relief, offering benefits like reduced anxiety, improved mental clarity, and enhanced emotional balance. By combining controlled breathing, slow movements, and meditation, it promotes relaxation, better sleep, and resilience to stress.
Qigong also boosts the immune system, eases physical tension, and fosters a strong mind-body connection, supporting overall well-being and longevity.
My Mission is to bring this ancient practise to the wider community so you too can build your own reserves of energy, which will help you to live well for longer.
